As the first person to graduate from college and the son of two immigrant parents my parent were proud of me. You always want your children to do better than you did. It is really what you can afford. At this point in my life, I am fortunate to give my son that type of gift and pay for his education. Those are my beliefs and to each his own. The real gift was his college education which he will benefit from for the rest of his life and from the looks of it I think he is well on his way!! The watch was icing on the cake for his hard work and he is a very humble kid who knows the value of what he received!
