glad to know that the OP got some clarity. man, i didn't even know there was an RSC in Beverly Hills. i dropped off my daytona for service at ben bridge and they told me 4-6 weeks turnaround.

When did you take it in? They actually closed down the Beverly Hills one for a while. But even if you take it to the RSC in Beverly Hills there the turnaround time is still the same lol.

Its actually a really nice building, worth a fortune

it's been several weeks now, but it took them until last week just to get the quote. i know it's nice to have a service center do it, but i may try one of the local references i've seen on this board.

This is an often used yuki 3135 clone from factory. supposedly 1:1 spec

this is after adding gen parts

the pic of the clone movement above even with some real bridges and wheels will never have a free sprung balance with micro Stella. it is so easy to tell that Yuki movement or any other chinese clone by that single detail. all of you saying the op's watch movement is fake do not know what you are talking about.

Is a Rolex clone movement not considered counterfeit? I've seen the Yuki website and they even have counterfeit dials. I've heard of Rolex going after RESTAURANT owners for using the Rolex name. Why doesn't Rolex go after these scumbags?

My gen has a SS centre so that's not true that centre is gold. Never seen a fake in the wild with a parachron hairspring and Breguet, with microsteller adjustment

Everyone keys in on the red reversing wheels of the winding bridge (and the earlier mentioned Eta clones that are dressed up to look like 3135 use red-ish reversing wheels).

But, there are so many other details that add to the cost of the genuine movement, not included in the cost of the replica movements. The proper balance is one, and a big one, for sure.

But I actually look at the screw heads. Rolex mirror polish every screw head. The clones do not bother with this costly step. I also look there to see how many times it was torn down by someone using an overhand grip on the incorrect size screwdriver...

If I was a seller, I would not want someone opening the back of my watch. No telling what that would do to the warranty or the fact that you could accidentally damage the insides. As a buyer, I would be concerned that a seller would let me open the back because again, what would that do to the warranty or the waterproofness ( if this is a word ) going forward.

Fascinating thread. As a noob, I'm sticking with modern pieces and paying the premium. Impressive fund of knowledge on here. My wife has had a Hulk since 2014 and I could not have added anything to this thread. At first, I thought the green was more muted but in the second picture on the RSC's invoice, it looked fine to me and I guess it is but damn.

Thanks for all the input. I'm scared straight. You won't see me trying to score a super deal in the Diamond District again. Done
