Gold is Yellow.

If you want a silver Rolex go SS.

Tough choice. Aesthetically I like the 619 more, buuut I think the GMT would make a more versatile one and only, especially if one finds the GMT complication useful (as I do).

I believe the reason that Rolex and others offer so many variations in their products is that buyers have wildly different preferences. I've worn my yellow gold President for over 20 years and never considered it indiscreet. It is a beautiful watch. I think my GMT II is much flashier than the President. My stainless Datejust with a white dial is what I wear in very casual situations. My International travel watch is a black Swiss Army watch. I want to be invisible when traveling Internationally r into dangerous domestic USA areas.

If I didn't have a stainless pepsi gmt2 I would say the BLRO but from a diversity standpoint I would go with the blue Sub.

I would have said BLRO but I do think the 116619 LB looks better here in this side by side on DaddyAnt.

I would get the Smurf all day! The most stunning, imo.

Smurf every time. Watch is classic. Classic pepsi was the SS, this current BLRO is nice too but I went with the Smurf and couldn't be more pleased.

Smurf is my first reaction but the Daytona shot stopped me in my tracks; that would be my choice, Daytona meteorite dial!!! I might add that if you can't decide on your own then you're not ready to make such a significant purchase!!!

WG PM sports Rolex? Daytona.

Add a SS Pepsi later. Maybe the blue Tudor Pelagos after that. All bases covered.

Don't know if the GMT is more popular than the Sub, again only Rolex would be able to tell you and they are not going to do that.
All the rest is mere speculation.

You can't go wrong with either, but do try both on several times with different lighting. The color of the dial of the Sub changes depending on the light and I found the Sub to have more presence.

I chose this one; (Happy hunting )
I too would choose the blue Sub but would never call it a "Smurf"...

Gold was yellow back in the 70's. White gold is more prevalent today.
But in 20 years from now it may go back to yellow.

In a perfect world we could own it all, but my money would go for the BLRO. The best Rolex in the modern line-up IMO.

If I close my eyes, it feels exactly like a 116718.
