Don't worry. You'll be okay. I had lower back surgery for similar thing when I was in my 20s, all good since .... Once you're over this you'll just have to stay keep yourself in good physical shape so you don't have it again.

Thanks it was so bad I still have problems, may take a long time to get better if it ever does. Dr. d]said the spinal cord was so compressed it was dying. and I could have been paralyzed. especially if I had any trauma to my body again.

Completely understand. Surgery pain for a while but if you are like me,it is a completely different and minor thing.
Nights and mornings will still be rough. Traps in spasm in the morning. I walked laps around my living room.It helped. Also, the surgeon(a friend)didn't recommend physical therapy. My next door neighbor was a physical therapist. She came over nightly the first week, every other the second and so on. I credit her for my being able to go back to work in 6 days(at a slower than usual pace). |

I hope to also but my case has a lot of twists and turns that complicate the situation. just keep me in your prayers that everything will be fine and my condition will improve and I can go back to serving the public or I will need to find a new career.

Man, I just caught up on the thread and now I'm thinking that maybe I should get a second opinion on my lower back. As much as I would hate to deal with the surgery, I would much rather not deal with my leg tingling every so often and having to really pay attention to posture. I'd hate to one day wake up with some type of permanent nerve damage.
I hope to read continued updates of your progress on the road to recovery. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Wow, I sure hope you feel better soon, a life without pain is the main, really ONLY goal here. Just reading your posts I am so grateful for my health, I will say two prayers tonight, one for you and one of thanks for me. Glad I never had to eject when I was a Navy Pilot, I here horror stories about what that good old Martin-Baker (or the new ACES II) seats can do to your back.

Did your symptoms start right after the accident or was it a little pain and it got worse over time?

Yeah this thread has me wanting to go get second opinion before it gets out of control. Like I said, for the past year or donuts been fairly easily manageable but I don't want it to get bad one day. But I'm curious as to your symptoms if you don't mind sharing. |

That's horrible brother. I was injured on duty 2 years ago and am still trying to figure stuff out with workers comp.
Why in the heck is insurance not helping? That makes no sense and sucks. Gotta love it, we serve our entire lives only to get some desk jockey hitting accept or deny on a computer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As someone who can relate to some extent on back pains, I only wish you well. Will definitely add you in our prayers.
