Hey Ken, I actually picked up a complete set circa 1978/79 from Michael. Not unpolished but pretty darn close from all the comparisons I made with unpolished examples (like your exquisite example). It's got wonderful patina as well and the watch is even better in person than Michael's pics (if that's even possible lol). Your example is just pristine and I'm glad it went to a good home my man, keep rockin' with that fine taste of yours....I'll never forget your pics of the DD40 that mesmorized me to get mine.

Is that the best you could do? Sorry, Clan Lamont humour (or, lack thereof), so excuse it.
It's a stunner, enjoy every minute of it.

Well done my friend and congrats! Very special watches indeed so enjoy yours as I know you will! The DD40 WG green such a killer modern piece. Always oblige to help motivate a fellow watch brother!

I too have an "L" serial 1016.
Its a watch which brought me many happy moments just gazing at its mesmerisingly iconic dial.
The super-bold 3-6-9 on the dial looks amazing.

Crisp and unpolished with perfect case back sticker entact.
HL65 - You are so lucky to find that - the stars were lined up for you. Looks like an amazing watch, and so sharp. What's next?

Lol-x - Another specimen that is simply gorgeous. I agree about the arabic numerals; makes that dial a classic standout.

I am sure there are some out there but few and far between. Won't be easy to find but be patient as you never know. I searched for right one for years as some of you here know.

Another cherry piece to add to your vast collection Ken. Congrats! Always enjoy your IG posts but a question, any chance that beautiful blue diamond dial DD will make another appearance or did you let it go?
