Bought me a 16610LV for my 40th
I've found that associating my watch purchases to an event keeps my wife off my back... so, for my 40th I just bought myself this Sub LV.
Years ago I had a 5 digit reference Explorer and I've had a few of the newer super case 6 digit references that I never bonded with (other than a 116520), so I went back to the classic proportions but with the maxi dial and bigger hands of the LV. I'm really happy with the watch, like most I started the love affair with watches having a few Rolexes at the same time, I then got "bored" with what are mostly slight variations of the same watch and moved on to other brands and have been without a Rolex for a while. Coming back to the brand I realized that Rolex does to make the finest watches, but it makes the best. They are incredibly well made and are bulletproof. Here's the rest of the family:
