I think this is the case with all watches. Just preference on which actually looks more proportional to the wrist...and that has a lot to do with design just as much as size....I still think this looks big for a 6.5 inch wrist and below....on a 7 inch plus wrist, watch is killing it.

Respectfully totally agree. What I'm trying to say is if you look at a wrist below 7" and closer to 6.5 inch wrist like brucethemanlees thread on Basel preview comparing the sd4k to the sd43 side by side....I clearly think both can be pulled off but the sd4k looks better imo. On the larger wrists, this watch is killer.

This pic really illustrates how Rolex should have made a custom movement for the DSSD and SD40 with a larger date wheel with larger numbers. The 3135 date really is meant to be used with a cyclops. The 3235 appears to be a direct replacement, and I think putting a cyclops onto the SD43 was a great idea, despite my preference in general for not having a cyclops.
