The real takeaway is that when it comes to cars, boring is better. Driving is hands-down the most dangerous thing people engage in with a much higher probabilty of death than guns and stuff.

I'd say one of the most boring cars I have owned was a 2015 Cayenne Turbo. Sure it had enough straight line power to do a low 4 second 0-60 but to me that was all it was good at.

Looked killer being black with a red interior - but as so far as being entertaining and engaging to drive -- that did not do anything for me in this car.

I would not rule out all SUVs tho as one of tbe BEST cars I had was a 2003 X5 4.4i. Small SUVs are typically fun as well.

I test drove a E63 AMG Wagon. Accelerating 60-100 I had wheel spin. Was not boring. I did feel I was going to die however.

Too funny I thought my dad was the only one who had a brown one with the fake wood paneling. He was so happy the day he got it. Wasn’t such a happy ending though.

Yugo. Definitely a POS. One of our employees bought a new one back in the day and it pretty much fell apart after about a year. Felt bad for him as it was the first time he had ever purchased a brand new car.

You might like this one. Great looking wagon and goes and handles well with a V8 and 6 speed manual gearbox. Pity the company (General Motors Holden) no longer makes cars in Australia.

I sponsored the purchase of 10 kits to get him going.
Of course he had a hard time getting the project off the ground so to protect my investment I went to Chrysler and bought a new GTC (demo with 800 miles) with all the bells and whistles.
With my car to show he immediately picked up orders for five more cars and I gave my car to the wife.

She drove it for a year when I sold it and broke even.
