After looking online, it looks like the black version without the gold, only comes on a rubber strap and the all blue comes on a bracelet.

Is this true?

Is there anyway that one can get the SRP777 with the bracelet that comes on the SRP773?

I feel like this might help you decide between black or blue too.

Thanks everyone!

The turtles actually wear smaller than 44mm imo, the curved underside of the case means that theres not a lot of steel on your wrist, its almost just the caseback size thats on your wrist, for this reason its very comfortable, theres nothing to dig into the hand when the wrist bends.
Lug to lug these are only 47mm i think, they can fit on surprisingly small wrists.

I am disappointed the JDM Turtles are so hard to find at places like BIC and Yodabashi. I will be in Tokyo soon on business and I was hoping to pick one up with a Kanji date wheel. I hope it’s not a lost cause. (I will be there for business and won’t have a tremendous amount of time to hunt all over).

I wonder if there’s a main Seiko boutique that could line one up in advance for me.

They came out in April, so might not be hard to find by now.
