I especially really like the advice that I should post it for sale for an amount that I would be happy letting it go for, and if it doesn’t sell for that amount then I should keep it. Great advice and food for thought.

Uh oh... you've mentioned keeping both watches 3 times in your last 2 posts. It's happening! I'm calling it... you're keeping both. Congratulations!

Many have talked about keeping either or both.

For the premium is it demanding, i think you should give yourself a chance to wear it for a bit and see if you like it or not. Watches are a personal thing. Even if you wear it a bit, I am sure many would still pay a premium to purchase it.

Whatever decision you make, it cant go wrong

If you can sell it for $17k and not selling, it means you bought it for $17k. That’s not very smart. Sell it.

Sell. Use profits to offset cost of the sub. Seems like funds are an issue to you and that’s the smartest thing to do.

Agree with others. Sell me the Daytona and keep the Sub since it’s your only watch. OR rotate both (enabler)

If you can sell the Daytona for a sizable profit, do that and keep the Sub.

Or sell the Sub if you can get close to what you paid and keep the Daytona.

Or keep them both :)

Over the long term it would be Daytona without question

However if funds are an issue and you seem to love your sub more then sell the Daytona and keep the sub

Not sure why my thread was resurrected, but I kept the Daytona and gave the Sub to my dad!
No regrets!

This wouldn’t be a question for me. Keep the Daytona without doubt, sell the sub and enjoy the cheapest Daytona ever. The ceramic sub in black doesn’t really do it for me.

Kudos on passing the sub on to your father ... its usually the other way around in life and I love the fact that you did this.

I would keep both. Most of the replies are materialistic suggestions. You'll regret to sell ether of the watch. Sub for being your 1st Rolex. And Daytona is such a beautiful watch that you can wear in rotation. Money is just a money.

Keep the Daytona all day long... subs seem to be everywhere. The Daytona is a seriously special watch and you won’t see many other people wearing them

I’ve got both and as much as the sub is a great watch (my first Rolex like many) if I had to chose only one, i would hesitate in choosing the Daytona

You made the right choice. I have both and I wear the Daytona 10 times more often. Also, I am not getting any younger and my eyesight is "okay" but I am not understanding the comments that "the Daytona is hard to read." I've never had a problem. It's a great watch.

Keep the Daytona. I’ve seen too many subs on a daily basis. But that’s just me.

Keep what you like better, you’ll be able to get another sub easily though. If it were me I’d dump the subC. Not many people out there wearing a crispy DaytonaC
