Oysterflex on my 116500
I was able to pick up a set of ED/EE Oysterflex straps yesterday through another TRF member. I've tried both Rubber B and Everest and they never quite satisfied me, so I was very happy to get a set of the Oysterflexes, even though I think they're insanely expensive. It has been something I've wanted to do for a while, especially since I love the 116519LN but find it a bit on the expensive end, and after I sold my Patek 5164 and now have a empty spot for a watch on rubber in my collection.
It was super easy to install and so far the sizing seems to spot on. I think it looks pretty good without the endlinks, but nonetheless I did order a set of the Smarty endlinks last night for the right finishing touch. The only thing I might do in terms of fit is flip the strap around, such that the clasp is reversed. I'm noticing right now that the watch is heavily tilted towards the 12 o'clock side and reversing the clasp would balance it back out. I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts! |
