I love the look of a sub with a suit! I don’t think of the sub as having a ‘giant’ bezel either.

Unlike white pants and no socks in a braggadocio shot, that sub is actually kinda classy indeed 👍

I wore my 16610 on my wedding day. Given my gray vest, and tie, could not have looked better. In looking at the pics and video I can see the watch, but blends in perfectly. I think the older model is a bit more under the radar and so does not stand out with a suit. The new models while also great models, have a bit more wrist presence with the larger lugs and shinier bezel and this standout more calling attention to it with a suit.

I used to wear my 114060 with a suit and I think it looked great, what do you think is off about it.

I think it looks great with a suit but I also wear my watches with gym clothes so my opinion probably doesn’t count...

It's the big bold functional bezel, I thought that was clear. But it's just a matter of personal taste, nobody cares a whole lot about what others wear.

I’ve see folks wear gshocks with a suit. I don’t think any less of them or judge them because of what watch they choose to wear. The sub is perfectly acceptable to wear with a suit, I’d bet 9/10 people don’t even notice the watch

Really? I don't "think less" of them either. I just don't share their fashion sense. This was never about judging people's character. It was only ever about what watch people think is a good pairing with a suit.

I'm not comfortable wearing a diver with a suit, I prefer a dress watch. So whatever makes you feel comfortable is good enough (g-shock, diver, chrono, pilot, etc .)

I wear a 5 digit sub with suits all the time as well as my GMTs and 6 digit subs. I often see executives wearing subs with their suits. I don't particularly think it conveys any message like "it's my only watch". If anything I would say it might be an indication the wearer is sports oriented. I will admit the subs I see in executive offices are not severely worn beaters. They show character from normal use but not extreme wear.

99% of people don’t even notice you’re wearing a watch. Wear what you like.

i just sold this exact same Dj model yesterday. It's a nice mono-style watch for more formal occasions. i didn't have a chance to try diff a leather strap. it was the very first rolex ever purchased. memories...
