I have worn my SD43 everyday since I picked it up in March and after maybe a week it feels the same as my Sub did weight wise...I find the wider bracelet helps a lot with balancing out the weight.

For me, the SD43 has been perfect. My Deep Sea is a bit top heavy and doesn't get much wrist time. I sold my SK4K before I got the SD43.

I love my 116600 and would really like to add a 16600 at some point, like the vintage style of the 5 digit one compared to mine.

My SD43 Hands down. Amazing watch with right proportion and added cyclops. Love it!

Yet another photo from someone who is really happy with the addition of a cyclops and then posts a picture where it's not possible to read the date because the cyclops is in the way of it...

I'm not a cyclops fan and the new version is a bit big for me. So since the release of the SD43, I'm happy to still have a 16600 and generally wear it at least weekly - and sometimes as a daily from time to time. Not complaining about the value increase either.

With the 126600 out of the running for me personally, the 116600 is probably objectively a better watch than what I have - more modern adjustable bracelet and that shiny ceramic bezel. However, stylistically I prefer the smaller hour markers on mine to the 'maxi dial' of the 6-digit reference, and don't feel I need those minute dots all the way round the bezel.

So I'm unlikely to 'trade up' over the next few years, as the spread between the sell price of mine and the buy price of a SD4K C, just to change the scenery a bit, is money I could be putting towards something entirely different. I have my eye on a Daytona Oysterflex, not to mention other non-Rolex things to round out a collection in due course - so an upgrade to my 16600 is a long long way off, if ever.

116600 because of it's 40mm size, 3135 'modern' movement, new strap and clasp, ceramic bezel and no cyclops.

Do any of the multiple SD owners have a pic of a 16600 and a SD4K side by side? I’d like to see it. For me it’s the 16600 for now.

Imho, there is an elegance to the 11600 that is missing with the SD4K Ceramic. It basically comes down to the lugs. The SD 43 addresses that issue, but to me it looks best on wrists over 7.25. When all is said and done, they are all awesome pieces.

Good to know you actually came back to your senses and quick, else you would have a different story to tell. The SD4K is actually beautiful, great movement and comfort, at least its not a watch to let slip away.

SD43 is the oddball of them. The contrast between the matte dial and the red text is classy and sexy.
