Don't know how to remove older stickers, but definitely don't use any heat on it or you may adversely affect the movement lubricants.

Best to get the stickers off as they will accumulate bacteria, viruses, abrasive dirt at the edges of the adhesive. Or so I have read elsewhere.

Thanks - managed to peel most of it off, then a little nail polish remover got the rest of the gunk off, then a good overall cleaning.

Hated to see that beautiful gold caseback covered with a Petri Dish of a sticker....yuck....

I'm surprised, was under the impression that these Day-Dates didn't have any lume.

This one is 1999/2000 according to the serial #.

Was pleasantly surprised when I saw this....cool!
