Hey guys, cannot thank you enough for giving me guidance, suggestions and humor throughout this little journey. Not as funny as the tiny wiener G-wagon thread though.

Today I bought a '19 Audi Q7.

After the initial test drive I knew it was the right fit from drivability, space, technology, and just plain engineering. It's a very well built, well thought out vehicle. Sure, a RR would have been nice, but I'm much happier with this. You just know in your heart what's right. Like buying a house. It's a tool for us, we use an SUV for weekend activities, skiing, biking etc.. It's got one purpose and one purpose only. A daily isn't what we were looking for, we have those.

She's in Monterey and will be sent up here tomorrow, I get to pick her up on Thursday (latest Friday.)

She's Glacier white metallic, has black optic, cold weather, the 22s, active suspension, luxury pack and interestingly enough, another option called Audi design selection - Murillo brown. It looks much darker than the pics but good idea. It's a rare feature (I'll explain the backstory of how this happened), and it covers the dash in leather too. The car is absolutely beautiful!

I don't have pictures of the car but the pics posted are from the internet and at least represent the color, wheels and interior color.

I'm very, very happy with the deal and with Audi San Francisco (Royal Automotive Group San Francisco.) Lorenzo, IS the best ever sales professional who was truly straight up and transparent. I can't say enough great things about him. Such a great guy. The whole dealership is great! So GLAD the Audi Marin deal fell through!

Anyway, I'll post pictures of her when she comes in. And write up what happened along the way. A big hiccup happened which really worked in my favor. Truly remarkable actually.

WES, I'M SORRY MAN.

Hahaha, congrats brother! That’s a beautiful SUV! I really like the color combo as well. I think you dodged a bullet by not getting a black one. Black cars are just too hard to maintain. The white on brown is really classy and not a combo that you see very often. The black accents and wheels are sweet too. Just a great looking car overall! Enjoy it!

Thanks, Wes. I agree it’s really a fabulous combination.

Thanks, GB. The LC would have been nice but couldn’t get my wife onboard. Had to meet her halfway and in the end the Q7 will be a perfect fit for everyone.

I’d be lying if that interior didn’t have me jealous! Looks as expected from Audi

Awesome my friend....I think you did the right thing, I am also a super fanboy of MB, but for your timing of a new SUV, this is the right choice. Enjoy and post up some pics!!

That's a gorgeous SUV. A huge congrats. I love that interior and the new digital cockpit from Audi is fantastic too.

Awesome! Great looking ride. Black optics package is such a sweet finish. I'm curious to hear what your thoughts are on the driver's assist.

Congrats!

Thanks guys and sorry for the radio silence.

This week has been crazy busy especially at work.

Tomorrow I’ll take some pics and explain the backstory.

For the record, I LOVE THIS CAR!!!! Best purchase thus far, no question.

What a beautifully crafted and highly engineered vehicle. Way way above expectations.

The Mercedes was great! Almost 4-years in the 550. That’s an eternity for me. But the GL is very long in the tooth. And just a little too fat. The GLE is too small and I don’t care for the looks. So that left me with nothing from Mercedes this round. Lots of amazing memories in the 550 I’ll never forget.
