I think I snaffled O&R’s last blue dial 15202.

i was originally looking into the RO (many years down the line tbh) but it looks like that's hard to get? offshore is interesting but i haven't paid as much attention to it. I also have large wrists (8.25-8.5) so i need to take that into account.

With an 8.5” wrist I’d be surprised if you didn’t feel more comfortable with an Offshore and a 44mm version.

yeah for me i normally feel that the limit is 39/40mm. I've tried on 36mm just for fun but without something like a bund strap it looks like a woman's watch.

You need to ask yourself why you only want the most popular brands and watches. Of course there will be waiting lists for these.

Minor vent... I don't mind getting told no straight up instead of being told the run around.

Does anyone have experience with the AP NY/Miami boutiques? ie. How long did they wait for a ss 15400/15500/26331 once they got on the list ? (not expecting a 15202 as first AP of course)

Thanks!

You’re a perfect match for a 44. It’s a killer watch. Really hard to beat for the price in that category.

Is it customary for boutiques to take deposits for a watch? I called and placed my name on a waitlist for the less popular 15450 in blue at the boutique in Singapore and they did not ask for a deposit. Does that mean my conversation fell on deaf ears?

Rolex only produce 1m watches a year.. the demand easily exceed 1m globally.

In today’s market even the 15450 line is hot particularly in blue. It depends if you’re an established customer. I can’t speak for SIN but in North America today until there’s a deposit you’re generally just on a wish list. Those are meaningless.

Deposits are only required when you are guaranteed to get a watch. It's best that you head down and talk to a SA personally than on the phone though.
