In this Rolex market, you have to go PM as SS is way overpriced. At $40k, you can get a great PM at a discount and have some coin left over. I would go something in Everose.

a lot of people recommending pateks, with 40k budget maybe can get you a 5167a from grey but there are far more options if stay within Rolex. I would suggest an oyster flex Daytona from trusted seller and save the change.

40k is not going to get around the world tickets in first class.

If you're dead set on getting a watch, I think a YG DD40 would be a great piece - and you can pocket / invest the rest
