I'm sorry you both had to go through with this ordeal. At the end of the day, it's $200 on a $4600 piece. If my mental math is correct, that's like 5%. I'd call him back with the extra $200 & get the watch you want. You both will be happy. Plus, you might want to keep him as a contact for your next piece. He might be reluctant to deal with you in the future if there was a squabble over 5%.
