New (To me) Rolex AD Procedure - Anti Flip?
I have purchased 4 Rolex this year, the 4th being a BLNR today. For the first time I saw the AD salesperson bring out a pre-configured white form about the size or A4/Letter. The form had a Rolex logo on the top and had been laminated with clear plastic with numerous outline shapes on it in blue. Right side center a circle with “place watch here”. Top Right small rectangle “place decals/stickers here”. Whole left side long rectangle “place sales receipt here”. Lower right rectangle “place warranty card here”. Another small rectangle “place removed links here”. The salesperson proceeded to place all the above elements on their relevant spots and then took a photo.
I asked the salesperson what he was doing and he said that it’s a control mechanism to ensure that all elements were removed and show the watch prepared for delivery as per Rolex rules. So...is this a new action by Rolex to ensure that all watches leave the AD to real buyers, with decals removed, bracelet adjusted for the buyer and that the warranty name coincides with the sales receipt etc? Anti-grey mechanism? Has anyone ever seen this before at an AD (I hadn’t)
