The crown guards look quite rounded and smoothed over. Way Over-polished for my taste.:

This. Obviously is has been polished, particularly around the lugs. I wouldn't say "over", though. You can have the bevels recut if you want, and that will make it look great. Don't mind the polish police ;)

I don't like seeing the spring bars sticking out of the lugs. However I agree with Larry that it's a nice watch and well used. Is it mint, no. Is it a great tool watch, absolutely!

Borderline. If someone care about polishing; it's overpolished. If you don't care; it's OK.

overly polished, and poorly polished, but it can be fixed if you are willing to spend some time and money to get it fixed.

Too funny!

And agreed: to the OP, just enjoy your awesome, iconic watch! And you can try searching this forum for "unpolished 14060", that should bring up plenty examples of allegedly "unpolished" 5 digit Subs, for comparison.

I dont think people realize that the chamfers on 14060Ms werent that big to begin with, unlike other diver models that had large pronounced chamfers.

Someone has just chucked it straight under the polish wheel with no regard to the effect on the angles/edges.

Crown guards good. Lugs? Well looks like they used a belt sander.

I'd say no, only the chamfers are slightly too large. But the lug size seems to be equal on all four.
What's about the bracelet?

I don't think you can say 'over polished". But I would say not properly polished. Seems previous owners hit the spring bar holes in the lugs a little too hard. Maybe to remove strap changing marks. Also check the size of the spring bars. If they are not correct for this watch or not centered, they might show a bit long on one side.

Having chamfers re-done will only remove more metal.

By collectible standards, yes. If you just wear it with no investment in mind, it
looks okay.
