Fortunately I have one of each so I'm Waiting for The Call for a Pepsi GMT II. Passing on a new TT or SS Sub.

Rolex TT is the best TT look on the market.

Other brands look like they crow bar some gold on there to make a different reference.

Some of the TT Breitlings and Omegas are really terrible.

I like TT Rolex because it's real 18k . Brands that plate or use metal to look like yellow gold don't work for me. Real yellow gold or SS fro me!

Resurgence already started last year with TT CHNR. So good in its own right, even better than full PM design wise of color contrast.

I also think as Rolex hype becomes over heated by people that actually wear the watch and not just “invest”, that TT just like PM becomes more popular to distinguish from the peer group crowd. Gold is still good. No stigma of a Worse deal than SS in value retention too as the CHNR secondary market remains strong. Price hike also helps all those who got in “early” since even if discounting returns, that discount becomes the old price.

For me, it’s either all gold or all steel. I love both, but not when they’re mixed in together.

I've always loved TT and I think it is making a bit of a comeback - lead by the Rootbeer - but I think it is still polarizing. As some have said, it is still viewed as an "old mans watch", as my daughter has reminded me, but it does have that retro look that some people like. Curious to see what Basel holds for the TT's?

It's only on TRF that TT is reviled. But then again, there are only about 5-6 steel models that are acceptable to purchase according to those same haters, so if you live your life by the boundaries set up by this forum, there's not a lot to pick from.

That’s the reason I’m looking for:

Tudor Black Bay 58
Omega Apollo 11 50th Anniversary

Will start with a hint of gold on the bezel and/or dial before going to full TT

Agree, and even AP and PP with their spotty bracelets are not as nice for me.

TT just seems to make a different statement on the wrist (IMO).

Plus the added weight and the touch of bling gives them a bit more personality. Also allows one to mix & match other silver and gold accessories at the same time.

I have a white Sky Dweller TT and a SD TT, along with a Tudor Black Bay S&G. I very much enjoy the TT look.

One thing I missed is getting the black ceramic TT GMT before it was cancelled last year, I put out feelers but it was too late.

I’m semi-expecting a reintroduction of a Yellow Gold TT GMT at Basel next year with a two colour bezel, maybe a Coke? If I am correct I will buy it. If not I will try to source a nice black ceramic GMT used or maybe a 16713 with TT jubilee bracelet.

For those who would suggest the CHNR, both my brother and brother in law have CHNRs, and although it’s a beauty, I don’t like it enough to add to my existing collection of 3 GMTs, and honestly I like it quite a bit less than the 116713.

I love two tone, but bothers me that it draws too much attention. A trend needs to start and has to become the norm in order for me to pick one

Rolex does TT really nice, but they are not the only ones, this Omega for example is great, I think it’s nicer than a TT Sub.

I think TT or full rose/yellow gold is going to become the play, just check out the Oscars last night, Aquaman was rocking a gold Cartier on a leather strap. Full Yellow Gold Sub on a Oysterflex would be wonderful 2020 Basel drop.

I will, if all goes as per I've been told, be getting my TT CHNR in 2020. I have all the SS Rolex watches I want. I have the TT Blusey and I want a different TT to finish off my Rolex collection. For me, the CHNR is both an obvious candidate and achingly desirable.

I went to my ad on 12/26/19 and ordered my DJ 41 TT 126333-0016 (fluted, white dial, and jub). Should come mid February they say. People say it’s a old man watch but I had my eye on a TT for some time now finally pulled the trigger

The recent 'resurgence' is more about people settling and Rolex trying hard to get the market to reset.

Selling SS for much higher prices and full PM for even more is easier if the safe middle makes financial sense for buyers--and there's 2T options of SS faves. Rolex is now an investment piece, so wear the 2T for a few years until the SS comes in. Rolex doesn't want to be a SS or PM only watch company. They want buyers throughout their lifetime.
