OP, you have done well to teach your son a work ethic. That is the hole point to me. Congrats.

It is an unusual choice but if that’s what he likes, good for him.
It sounds like he worked hard for his money, and just like us, he can spend it however he wants.

Good for him! And congrats to him as well. Such a great life lesson that will go a long way for him as he gets older - and being able to reap the benefits of hard work - and understanding that logic at a young age!

I don’t understand some members giving his son a hard time on the watch he worked hard for.

I’m sure if you think back about some of the things you spent your money on as a teen they weren’t half as nice as this Rolex. Congrats to you and your son OP!

For all the unnecessary snarky replies by some, you are either hung over from New years eve or need to take a step back. The kid is 16 and managed to set a goal for himself and accomplish it ultimately to buy a Rolex he desired? Do you have an issue with that or just with the fact it has aftermarket bling on it and it is not factory original? Jeez. Lighten up guys and gals! OP you and your son have a great new year 2020 and enjoy your watches!

Fair play to him!

Honestly if your feeling the need to be critical this is a 16 year old who saved up and purchased something he wanted for himself. What is to hate? It may not be your choice of watch but it's his his, and it was his hard work that purchased it

Thank you. This is what bothers me. People giving me a hard time because of my kids choice. Unreal. I would never hate on someone’s kid

I don't think everybody can understand the rap culture of Texas. that's kinda just the way it is after what I see...it's a nice catch for 16 year old. he also seems to have a lot of ambition. that's great. but unfortunately I have to say that rap is not the most positive out there. hope he'll make it out.

i think it’s great for him, he worked hard and knew what he was working toward and achieved his goal.

my question is, aftermarket dial or did they make them for a certain time? (i’m seriously clueless about this) one popped up on my social media today, with what seemed to be an original bezel, but the the dial was bright red.

What on earth are you talking about? Someone posts (post #2) a racist pic and you're running with it? What the hell is going on with this forum?

I’m lost myself. All I did was post about something my son worked hard and bought. It had nothing to do with rap or anything. Admin please delete this whole thread ?

Nah, don't let these fools get to you they are just a bunch of clowns with nothing better to do than scrutinize someone else's taste.

Well done to your son. I got my first Rolex at the age of 16 through working hard and a few sideline deals. You'll never forget your first :)

I think the admins need to delete some of the snarky, hateful members who have posted unnecessary meanness.

I have had a job since I was 14 and understand the pride he must feel earning his own spending money.

If thats the model that made him smile, thats all that matters.

Well done lad!

Best part is if he tires of the bling bezel and dial the watch can be fitted with a reference proper dial and a fluted bezel and new hand set. The option is always there.
