Was there a coating on the bezel to protect it? I have heard that a coating that can be washed off with water is on the bezel when new...is that so?

Beautiful this YM.

The entire bezel is gold, including the raised numerals. The platinum bezel in the YM40 comes with the references 16622, 116622 and 126622, the so-called Rolesium. Yours is Rolesor, a combination of steel and gold elements.

It's superb, wear it in good health.

Never heard of that before. I bought mine new, no such thing as a coating on the bezel.

Congratulations!

The bezel is all Everose gold, no platinum to be had on the bezel. Easily one of my favorite watches currently in production.

this specific YM is one of my all time favorite modern rolexes and i feel it deserves a lot more popularity / attention. It is beyond me why it's under-appreciated. The matte black dial combined with the RG hour indices, the YM curved and sleek case, and the newer movement, all make for a magnificent reference. Amazing choice. Congrats.

Beautiful watch that you don’t see very often. The colors work really well on this piece. Congrats.

Why would you think it had "platinum numbers" on the bezel, when the numbers are clearly rose gold also?

THAT is one good looking watch! Didn't even know they made one like that. Love the contrast of the solid gold bezel with the SS. It somehow manages to look more expensive than it is.
