I will remind you of this when you have to hide your dinner plate size watches in the same place you hid your bell bottoms and parachute pants. Or pictures of yourself with stylishly messy hair.

A fad is a fad. At least the hair cut was cheap!

Agree 100% The best selling watch for women made by Rolex will continue to be the 27mm Ladies Datejust and for men will be the 36mm Datejust. Remember the Beach Daytona's made for and geared towards ladies, does that mean all 40mm watches are now ladies watches too?

I always believed the the 36 mm was a watch that could be for both men and women, heck, even 40 mm watches are for men and women.

If there's one thing I learned about women and watches, its that they definitely look amazing wearing a 36 and 40 mm watch. I have no problem with that too because I don't believe in "gender gaps" with watch sizes. However, its not really true for the other one as if I wore a watch smaller than 30 mm, it would look rediculous on me. THat's an exception.

I am a man wearing a 36mm SS DJ on my 6.75 inch wrist and I think the watch is quite bulky enough. In fact, I prefer my smaller 41 year old SS DJ. I am horrified that Rolex is launching a bigger DJ -it strikes me as vulgar, crude and over ostentatious. I personally view the move towards ever bigger watches as a daft fad that will pass eventually. Back in the very early days of wrist watches they were small pocket watches modified for wrist wear -we seem to be back to watches of that size again and IMHO they look ridiculous. What ever happened to understated elegant style?

The really big ones just look stupid. Was playing poker the other night and a guy at table had one on that had to be 50 or 60 mm, I mean huge. Looked like part of a clown costume.

That being said I am glad everyone here enjoys their big watches. To each their own and all that.
