In my personal opinion i thonk any watch without a cyclops makes a better subject than one with, purely because of the distortion offered, i would also feel the oyster strap offers the best look close up, though croc leather is also nice.
Gold Daytonas on brown leather straps, sub no-dates ans Sea-dwellers would rank as my personal favorites.

So far the winners are: Submariners and Daytonas!

Man!!!!!!!!!

After looking at your photos in this thread many times, I have to say that they are all luscious!

Rolex in itself is inherently photogenic! Regardless of the model.

Today I wore this one and enjoyed it many times though out my day.

Had to wipe the drool off of it several times!!!

Great shots everyone! This is what it's all about. Some of the best collection of rolex shots ever!

I guess by asking which Rolex is the most photogenic, it's like asking which Victoria Secret model is the hottest. They're all hot!

Daveathall, some amazing shots! Are they for professional print ads? They sure look it.

Any watch can or cannot be photogenic.

At the end of the day I guess it depends on the photographer .

Look at Jocke, for example.....he can make even the simplest of watches look good......yes, even a RADO!!

A Rado? I don't believe it, JJ! But if anyone can, it's Jocke!

Who would have thought JJ could use Rado and look good in the same sentence?

I'll put my vote in for whichever Rolex Jocke is taking pictures of. If I had to pick one, I'd say the Milgauss GV. Something about seeing the green ring around the dial just makes me want one every time I see a picture of it.

I notice few people say they don't think the animal print Rolex's are photogenic, but I think they could be, even if they require a taste bypass to wear, though I think finding someone who admits to owning one would be the hardest part - unless you hang around with a rap group, but I do feel they could make a nice photo.

I've been thinking about this for a couple of days. Of course the answer is personal. It goes to taste, and liking.

But, what I have observed (and this is my personal taste) is that I (for example) find the white dialled Explorer II much more photogenic than the black dialled. Photos of the black version do little for me, whilst seeing pictures of the white always makes me want to go and put mine on the wrist.

Similar with the GMT. The "current" 16710 is not remotely as nice on pictures as the older 1675. Can not explain why...

As I said. Very personal.

Best,

A
