Not at all. The Breitling is a really nice watch and I like its shade of blue more than the YM (that said, I like the shade of blue on the Smurf more than both.) The Pro 2 bracelet is also one of the most comfortable on the market and it contours to the wrist really well.
It's all about what speaks to you. |

Rolex is relatively new to the "big bright shiny objects" game (40-41mm versions of classics; PCL on DJ/GMT), which Breitling has been perfecting for decades. If that's your style, I think Breitling probably makes a watch more to your liking. Interestingly, I'd consider the YM to be Rolex's first foray into such watches (with its PCL, PM on all models, etc) back in the early 90s.

I quite like the YM. In particular, the metal bezel.

I never have been a fan of the YM, probably the only Rolex I would not wear.

Variety is the spice of life. Breitlings are great watches. I bought an Omega Seamster Pro 20 years and was recently gifted a subc. I love both. When I wear the Omega, it still puts a smile on my face.

Thanks for the thoughts guys! Lol the chaos on the Breitling dial is part of the appeal to me. It's so "all in" on that era of Breitling for me that I find it charming in a weird way. For the record, my wife agrees with most of you!

And then you're now saying it's a flex if you don't favor your Rolex? I guess either way on here you will be accused of flexing! What a forum! |

I didn’t read you first post, didn’t have to. I will say the most important thing about that question, and a lot have already stated.
You wear what YOU like and what makes YOU happy. It doesn’t matter if it is the most expensive and coveted Rolex in the world or a $30 Invicta. People thought i was crazy when I gave up my Skydweller for the new Sub. Actually, a lot of the response was: “Are you Fing crazy!?!?”. People wondered how I could give up such a high end and difficult to obtain model for “only” a Submariner. You know what? This is probably the best Rolex I have ever owned and I am so glad I did. YOUR money, YOUR wrist, wear the watch that makes YOU happy. |

I prefer the YM but everyone has their favorites. Life it too short to wear something you do not like. Wear the Breitling and enjoy!

I’m gonna get a Breitling as well, but it’s a specific one. Don’t feel bad if you really like yours.
