Kinda glad my eyes aren't what they used to be. I couldn't see the mark until it was circled. Shouldn't you be spending more time worrying about the new movement losing time with low amplitude after several months of use? Sorry, just had to give you something else to worry about...Just kidding.

Sure can be addressed by somebody who knows what they are doing.
What I don’t understand are the remarks here that it’s normal for watches to get banged up and scratched. No it’s not. You have to get used to idea of wearing a real watch. I think many people getting into watches these days are not really used to wearing one. Yes accidents happen, but less and less over time once it becomes second nature to keep your left arm away from problem areas, walls, door frames etc.
I have one watch that has been by daily for over 30 years. It has a few minor marks and has been to service several times (some polishing, new crystals etc). But overall it still looks pretty pristine. You have to learn how to live life with an expensive watch.

Many problems I think start by people wearing their watches too loosely. Especially Rolex. People seem to think that’s cool or something they have seen “celebrities” doing? Beats me.

Yup, I agree. If I cant see any marks with “reader” glasses on, I am fine with it. And at this point in life, I can/will buy another watch if I need to if something catastrophic happens to it.

Not widespread, no. But a handful of RSC's throughout the world do.

I done far worse on my new explorer. Glancing blow off a shelf when moving things in my garage…it was 2 days old at the time.

The lug has a ding right on the edge which catches light and further draws attention to it. It annoyed the hell out of me for a few weeks, I was researching this forum for laser welding info. Over it now, it’s actually quite liberating and takes the pressure off to a certain extent.

Leave it would be my advice…it will pick up worse…it is though when you are in the honeymoon phase though.

Pretty much same thing lol This is the new age Rolex owner unfortunately

Totally caught the corner and edge of the lug on a metal door handle of a DJ blue fluted jubilee. Including the corner. I know for a fact that can’t be polished out without seriously losing the edge definition. Was juggling a hangry toddler and bag at the time reaching for the handle.

What happened next? The watch got delegated to more daily wear. I’ll always remember how I did it. Each watch tells a story.

Happened to me as well when I scratched my new watches the first time but I got over it real quick, because there were others new scratches coming in and I had to accept it as it is.

OP, you were always going to get this response from the forum! I know it’s easier said than done, but these little dings and scratches are what make the watch YOURS. And 99.9% of marks will happen without you knowing. My BLNR was absolutely battered in all the right and wrong places, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

That said, if it bothers you, get it removed. But then get used to sending your watch back time and time again because you’ve got a whole world of scratches coming your way

Dent what dent. The joys of owning a watch. Can’t hardly notice it. Don’t worry more will come. There little stories. My first dent was because of me rushing to take my pup out for a walk. Turned out to be one of the best days. Spend 3hours in a field playing ball and went to Dairy Queen to get ice cream for me and him. Don’t tell the wife. Lol
But if you must light brushing by a really good watch maker would hide it enough to not notice it.

You’re a perfectionist and you picked a perfect watch. Wear it in good health, enjoy it while it ages with you.
Regarding the dent, I would call it a small tiny micro scratch that can easily be taken care of by Rolex center when a service is due.
