Like some have posted above, I too would love to see some full rose gold pieces with a sunburst blue dial - SkyD, DD, 41mm Daytona with a date function would be nice too.

Hoping to be able to land more pieces at MSRP on the AD would be nice too!

1. Milgauss - Revamped plus new movement
2. Coke is always expected ( maybe Pepsi or Batman one colour goes away, so 3 colours in GMT )
3. Red Sub ?? Very doubtful, Rolex never follows market trends and always does something different - probably datejust red dials more likely.
4. 42 mm daytona - new links or some subtle progression changes
5. Sd43 may get the chop

Typically, the majority of things are pretty simple, and involve combinations of components already existing. So…

GMT colors: more lefty/righty overlap
GMT bracelets: TT/PM jubilee; maybe PM OF (nod to historic use of straps)
Milgauss: If continued, new movement w/o faraday cage, Rolex won’t be bested by Omega on advertised antimagnetic levels (big new one)
WG polar Explorer: 70 years after Everest (not likely)
New DJ/OP dials: because, always…
New exotic material dials for DD: good way to bump price, show craftsmanship
DJ41 baguettes: higher prices/differentiation
Serti dials: return to some PM Professional models

Don’t see it on the OP. The colorful dials are always lacquer, and for a black lacquer dial there’s always the Explorer 36 - a similar watch to the OP36.

Hopefully they will restrict supply further and buy back exhibition pieces from ADs to spike prices

1) SD43 discontinued, replaced with a titanium sea dweller of some sort

2) green OP discontinued

3) milgauss update/discontinued

Well they got 2 birds with 1 stone with the new Deepsea Challenge. Obviously covers diving, but can also double up as a polo mallet if you attach it to a stick.

Why would they go from their own „superlative“ -2/+2 to a 0/+5 certification used by a major competitor?

This is already happening. Turned down 2 offers in the last 2 weeks

IMHO. 2023 will have very minor changed if at all to the line up.
We're heading towards a heavy and massive recession. That's why rolex introduced the deep sea challenge now and didn't wait till march-april. That's why they initiated the process hike now in November and not January, to cash in the money from ppl buying for Xmas and New year. Come januari AD'S will be ghost towns. They'll just call one after another on waiting lists snd 70% will just pass on offers. The waiting lists will be squared away by june-july. Only very high high demand watches like panda and blue sky may still have a waiting time of a few months.
But gmt , air King, explorer and so on and precious metals will all be readily available. Just walk into the store and buy.
Rolex knows this, so maybe a few color schemes for 2023 but that's it.

I hope you’re wrong. Sure, I’d love to have the luxury of getting what I want, when I want, but would rather see scarcity continue with a strong economy. Time will tell.

I agree with your prognosis on the economy but Rolex is going to do what Rolex is going to do. They’re not going to change their strategy in terms of new releases.

Does that mean we’ll an exciting release from Rolex? No, it could be like last year’s release, which most people feel was sort of a let down. I’m just saying that they’re not going to do anything different in terms of new releases.

Never happen,
Each watch would actually have to meet the certification by a third party in accuracy along with all the other criteria. Failure rate would be way to high. Production would slow to a crawl.

LOL!

Never going to happen, but that's my ultimate grail watch right there...
