Ok fair. Think I would still be a no. I like Lange but prefer bracelet and that dial is too asymmetric for me. And I love the slate YM. Also waiting on an OP36 for well over a year so a bit cringe to see that go.

I really depends on what you like to wear and also (in this case) how you dress. If you dress up for work the Lange is perfect! If you prefer casual I would stick with the Rolex's.

I just sold my Lange this week actually and they are so nice. (I dress very casual so I didn't wear it often)

I wouldn't, simply because I am not into ALS.

I would do it.......I'm not a fan of the Rolexes you owned, so yes!

Of course, do it. You have 2 Rolex models that are a dime a dozen and the other one, a bit rare but, at the end of the day, you would be getting an exquisite timepiece. The 3 Rolex pieces are simply watches......

Trade/no trade

Well, as a former Lange owner I'll give my two cents worth.

I just sold my Langematik for exactly what I paid for it (bought used) 23 years ago. And used the bucks to purchase a Rose gold/SS Rolex Yachtmaster w/chocolate dial. I really liked my Lange, however it did not keep accurate time - I fell in love w/the Rolex as soon as I saw one, had to have it. Anyway, I am more than happy with my "trade" getting a 'no cost' Rolex.

I did find that I only wore the Lange on special occasions.. I did not find that it was 'delicate' but slightly more dressy for everyday wear - plus I'm getting older and it's time to divest excess toys. All that said, I never liked the dial arrangement of the Big Lange's' (Lange 1) too busy YMMV.

ALS is the same level with PP, you will get different answer on non- Rolex forum.

This is totally personal preference, so go with the one sing to you the most.

Definitely no. I don't care about haute horology. I would not wear an ALS if someone gave it to me for free, it would sit in the box collecting dust.

Thanks for all your replies and input. I read them all!
I did not do the trade in the end.

I love ALS but having 3 different watches for different occasions in the end won.
Merry Xmas all

Great point. However if he can get 41k for those 3 he should run and do it.

But when you put it like that i'd rather get a PM Rolex or SS AP than the Lange.

The question comes down to do you wear dress pieces and does the piece appeal to you.

I had a Rose Gold Lange 1 Moon Phase. I sold. I really really enjoyed the piece but found myself wearing dress pieces less and less.

From a horological perspective it’s on a completely different level. The finishing it’s incredible.
