Very strange indeed. It was filmed in Portmeirion in Wales I believe. To be honest it still scares the s**@ out of me...Rather like the Grunka lunka's do

I grew up in the 70's/80's so I watched these same shows on syndication.
Repeats.
After waiting for the TV to warm up, all we got on the UHF stations were 2 stations from Boston. They didn't come in very clearly. Often had to adjust the roof antenna several times during the same show. It seemed that PBS always came in loud and clear so we watched Zoom.

Knight Rider, The Flintstones, The Courtship of Eddies Father and The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. when we could get it.

Had to share the TV with an older brother and sister so we took turns watching what we wanted. Lots of bargaining back then for TV time.

Loved loads of the shows everyones posted, but some favorites of mine are
Batman
Battle of the Planets ; Keeop was the annoying one who chirped like a bird! Had one of the best named villains though "Zoltar".. just sounds very evil...
Jamie and the Magic Torch; great rocking theme tune
Flash Gordon/Buck Rogers/ King of the Rocketmen/ Zorro from the 1930/40's, loved the old adventure series, shown on tv during the holidays.
Johnny Weissmuller Tarzan Movies "ungowa cheetah"
Got into Lost in Space, Land of the Giants and Time tunnel, on Sunday mornings as a late teenager recovering from the night before

What a great thread - in addition to many of the shows already mentioned some of my favourite shows growing up were Brit comedies like "Benny Hill", "'Allo, Allo" and "Are you being Served?" and a little later on Red Dwarf.

Also people from UK/Europe may remember the "Ulysses 31" cartoon!

I used to really like the TV show Magpie. The only "bird " I was watching was the gorgeous Jenny Hanley.

Never saw her in this rig though!

Do you also remember "Branded" since Chuck Connors was in that show and also "The Rifleman"?

My favorite show growing up was by FAR Knight Rider ! And yes, I am one of those fans who were VERY disappointed with the "new" re-make of Knight Rider on NBC
