Unprompted by me she told me that Rolex have told them that there will be reduced production for the Pepsi and it will be a new slight change to the colour (blue). She was clear that this was fact, not rumour, having been informed by Rolex to expect less of this reference. I'm not sure if that is to do with the failure rate, difficulty of colour accurate production or just a desire to reduce availability or prioritise the other GMT models.

I mention this because I have read similar things on this forum but this was information without asking. I think it's interesting but time will tell. I suspect Rolex want to firmly establish the Pepsi alongside the Daytona as one of the the most sought after pieces.

Believe what you want but, every single AD in my region told me the same story. One particular one is very honest with me, she's like a mom to me and told me it was the rolex representative that told them. The biggest dealer here said they didn't get any pepsis in 6 months. I don't think it's a rumor to make me stop complaining about having to wait for the pepsi because they reminded me about this problem as they allocated me my pepsi.

That’s not the point, dealers are not privy to inside production information. Rolex specifically keeps them out of the loop.

Respectfully disagree with this. Of course they get snippets of information. I’ve mentioned in a post before, that some people, such as the manager of my AD have worked with Rolex for 30+ years. Of course during that time they are going to build relationships with the people they are working for.

I’ll throw my hat in the ring and defend OP - Rolex is indeed having production issues with the bezel coloration and supply will be less this year. My SA confirmed this when asked a few weeks ago.

Welcome to TRF Mr. Joined in 2023… Some of us have relationships and connections with our ADs/SAs that date back YEARS. I have no reason to lie. No skin in the game. I’ve had my BLRO for years before you were even on these forums.

I am from Asia, and we hear the same here.

I am new and late to the party tho.

Just looking on Chrono24 there are almost as many 2023 watches for sale as there are 2022 and we are only half way through the year.

Also the market price currently remains flat.

My thoughts on this is that we all know that Rolex always play their cards very close to their chest, do we honestly believe that a company that is so protective of their brand and image would be telling anyone they were having quality issues with one of their products. Absolutely not!

It’s not about ADs getting inside info. It’s simply that ADs are receiving less Pepsis than usual. No deep inside secret Rolex info. Two of my ADs have stated the same thing.

Been told the same by my AD - been on the list a long time now . Hoping another 12 months and I’d be the proud owner but maybe not to the point I’m being offered a chance to switch to a BLNR which is looking more accessible

the reason I feel this is not true is because secondary prices for BLRO have not really moved in the last few months (if anything have decreased slowly) which wouldnt have been the case if the supply was restricted as being speculated.

After making phone calls to the AD's I purchase from, neither of them were familiar with or had any knowledge of this
