I am one of those people who like to keep my things looking as new as possible for as long as possible. I know that eventually they'll be a scratch scuff mark something that will take it from that brand new look to a used look, the best thing for me about the Rolex watch stainless steel bracelet is if I wear the appropriate watch for the appropriate activity and it gets a mark on it I'm not talking about a ding a dent or a gouge I'm just talking about a scratch not real deep but even noticeable to the eye, there are a few things I can do to mitigate the damage and that's part of my enjoyment of owning a stainless steel Rolex trying to keep it looking like new without having to send it in for a service to get polished I use the Cape Cod polishing cloth which I have found Works excellently for those small areas, I will cut about a quarter of an inch square use my finger and rub the Mark or the scratch until it no longer shows it gives me satisfaction to know that I can bring it back to the like new look. I have a mark on another watch that I'm not going to be able to get it out and so I accept that Mark as a personal identification mark if I ever need to prove the watch is mine all I have to do is say where that Mark is and what it looks like nobody else knows but me.

Absolutely not. I plan to keep my watches and not resell them, a few scratched from use doesn't bother me.

To be honest, I won't wear a watch under a sleeve of any kind. I have learned this the hard way a few times early on in my watch collecting journey. It's just not worth the micro scratches.

Not at all. I collect scratches and marks on my watches. I like them marked up with my use.

It’s perhaps different in some jackets - the modern ones are covered in poppers. These sit on the inside of the cuff right where the watch does and make a horrible noise when just walking or moving normally without a jumper to soften it.

I used to worry about cuff scratches until I got a Cartier Santos LOL. Your learn to accept scratches VERY quick with this watch.

I'd just fold the cuff on that one if it was marking the watch.

What is your experience with timekeeping with that model? I've always liked it but heard the timekeeping wasn't that great.
