SBGA461 is a 44mm and looks big in the picture. But it actually fits pretty well in real life. But even though I have a passion for divers I'm still leaning towards the SBGA009 5 day.

Which GRAND SEIKO Are You Wearing Today?
That is a very handsome watch and it looks even better on your wrist. Do you notice the thickness of the SBGE253 at all? I understand the life curve downward and hug the wrist? Thinking of getting this exact model as my next GS. My SBGA071 is starting to feel lonely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have no issue at all with the thickness. Grand Seiko has a curved almost pillow-like shape to the case sides which show off that beautiful Zaratsu polishing and so of hugs the wrist as you mentioned. It's the same thickness as the Tudor GMT I believe but wears it a lot better as stated above. I traded my Tudor GMT towards this and have been very happy with my decision. The GS pulls off dressier situations a lot better than the Tudor thanks to the beautifully polished look of the ceramic bezel, glossy dial, and various polished surfaces on the case and bracelet. But it totally works as a sports watch too. The spring drive movement is flat out amazing. You can set this thing once every six months and be good to go. 72 hr power reserve too. Lastly it fixes some of the deficiencies of previous Grand Seikos with the lumed hands and cardinal indices and the 4 position micro adjust on the clasp. I totally love this watch if you can't tell yet Only negatives I can come up with is its a little top heavy so if you wear it loose it can travel a bit. Some folks might want all the indices to be lumed and might want on the fly micro adjustability but to me that's nit picking. No big deal. Sent from my Galaxy S20 using Tapatalk |

No worries. Your comments about this watch convinced me to buy it sight unseen. I just ordered this exact model, a pre-owned set, from Japan. Hope it arrives before the new year. Can't wait! |
