Mauiguy, is that the 5146J or 5146G? Beautiful 5140P as well.

YES!

Questions:
Is that dial considered blue or gray?
Does it come in the same exact blue as the 5711?

Subtona, very good question. Wesleyvs had posed the same question regarding the 5980/1A blue dial. Let me try to gauge this. I asked my son the same question today. He says the dial looks black. Then I showed him pictures of the 5712 I took on the iPhone last night (low light & warmer) and his response was grey color.

The 5711/1A has a nicer blue-grey-green. The recent 5980 purchased by Wesleyvs has a similar darker blue/grey dial that I like versus the same 5980 blue dial purchased by a friend several years ago. I went to the window to expose my new 5712 to sunlight to draw out the blue hue but it still exhibits strong black-grey.

I like this magnetite black (very dark grey) dial more and more but I do like best the blue-grey-green dial on the 5711/1A that I purchased last year. Can't wait to compare the 5711 white dial versus pearl white or the BMW Frozen White.

Must take lots of pictures! Did you have the case refinished or repolished in any way? I would think not, but in any case with a thorough cleaning the piece should look as magnificent as it can possibly be. And oh, what magnificence!

Excited for you!

Thanks brother Paul! Sadly it has been a while since Henri Stern moved their location and all services got delayed a while. Absence makes the heart grow fonder though!

Firstly, Iceman, you always knew that it was going to be a no brainer, didn't you ;)

Secondly, Hughiee, your 5712, certainly looks like two different watches, depending on the light. Are you sure that you are not trying to kid us!!! LOL

And thirdly and by no means the least, Ken you certainly have got a lot of patience, which is obviously a good thing. :) Like others have said, I too look forward to seeing the end result.

Thanks for the kind words Hughiee! The 5146 is the grey J - a beautiful color combo, imo.
