Technically I was born with mine...I inherited my 6426 when my grandfather passed. I bought my first a couple years ago at age 43, a late '97/early '98 16700.

33 years old and it was a DJ 126234 silver dial. I wore a BB58 and Cartier Santos and still do wear them.

I was 21, 16600 SeaDweller. Wow that was almost 11 years ago. Got back into watches in 2019, such a horrible time to get back in. Despite that, I'll probably pick up a Rolex this early fall.

A steel Daytona around 12 years ago, I just walked in the dealers for the first time and walked out with it on my wrist.
I miss those days

Early 20's
Nathan Rd - Hong Kong
Day-Date , champagne dial , bark finish bracelet , concealed clasp.
Paid by American Express , I don't think credit cards were around then , the other alternative was Diners Club.
We were on our honeymoon (Hong Kong , Bangkok , Singapore) and I worked offshore with BP in the North Sea (Forties Charlie) then.
This is where I first saw this watch , all the American toolpushers wore them.
When I got back to the UK , I sold the watch and the profits paid for the trip.
Prehistoric Flipper..

High School graduation gift from my parents. So that would have made me 19 years old... I always wanted a Rolex after watching Miami Vice episodes on TV. I believe it is a 16030. Has the quickset date feature.

38. Late starter. Prioritised kids and houses and only treated myself to a Rolex when everything else was sorted. Made up for lost time since though!
