Yes, but I have to admit when I got my first I had a cover story about how it was an unexpected gift from my grandfather so that my boss (who wears an old Tag) wouldn’t look askance at it....

Wear it daily.......else the kids will inherit something that's pristine....and being as they are both girls it'll either get sold or given to whichever young man manages to weasel his way in!

"Just like that!" Have never really taken mine off wherever I've been.

It was a bit bloody hot in that Green Zone

I'm glad to see all these responses, as I am a new kid here, still anticipating ownership. I'm not big on being a show off (or tolerating them) so it's nice to hear that the few people who notice are those who appreciate a nice timepiece.

Along these lines, a former neighbor who ran a small business out of here home saved for a long time before she bought a Rolex. She said that as long as it took her to be able to buy it, she was going to wear it every d**n day! I think that's a good approach.

I wear daily (even my YG Daytona). My boss wears a gshock. I'm pretty sure he doesn't need me to wear a cheap watch to make him feel better.

The bastard knows too well how much more he gets paid than me!!!!

I wear a 2 tone Rolex Datejust, jubilee band, fluted bezel which I purchased new in 1989 which makes it 30 years old this year. Still running strong and I wear it work everyday. I paid $2,750 for it in 1989. So, over 30 years, that's: $91.66 per year...or...$7.63 per month...or in a 20 work day month, that's 38 cents a day for me to have this watch on my wrist at work. Plus, I could turn around tomorrow and sell it for $4,000 if I wanted to. Yet, I have had people say "you're crazy to spend that kind of money on a wristwatch!"

Yet, these are the same guys that show up every day in the morning with a Starbucks Grande Cafe' Latte' in their hand that they paid 5 bucks for at the Starbucks drive-through window on their way to office....which is 13 times the daily cost of me wearing a Rolex.

Just do the math and ask...which one of us is really the crazy one? I'm wearing a Rolex and you're drinking a cup of coffee. Which one of us is really the crazy one?

I wore nicer watches than most upper management at my last job.
I invested in two businesses friends of mine started which at first we're just spending money, but got to a point one of them was making me more than my Corp job.

I feel like in nyc people don't care as much from my experience.

Starting an entry level corporate position soon and I'm a bit hesitant. I'd just put it under the cuff but people will still see it eventually.

The idea that people don't notice what's on your wrist is ignorant. They may not say anything but people do notice. My only Rolex is a Sub and that screams the brand and people have said nice watch "what is it?" or "is that a rolex?" or simply "nice Rolex/Sub."

I live in an area where people flaunt status. I'm a watch lover and love Rolex. Most here are only wearing the watch for the brand name.

That being said, I like dressing well and carrying myself a certain way. One of my managers told me that they recently implemented more casual attire changes. While I'm ok with others wearing jeans on casual days, I'll just do me.

+1 on just doing your thing.

I never understood wearing casual clothes to work even if acceptable... it just doesn't seem right in a business environment especially when client facing. As far as the watch is concerned, I would definitely wear it.

I work for a very large tech company that is super casual. We are talking tee shirts and vans in meetings with CEO’s of huge companies. I tend to just wear dark jeans, button down dress shirt and either dress shoes or dressy tennis shoes. That’s about as casual as i can get. I see all kinds. I see jeans and blazers and i see workout gear. Just do you!

Maybe its a CA thing but I've always worn golf shirts, jeans and DC slippers in the office even when I ran a division for a publicly traded financial services firm. Own my own company now so not as much of an issue. Presenting or traveling to clients/prospect offices is suit no tie. Ties are for weddings and funerals. I'm a believer in dress for your day.

I'm in sales in the finance industry, and the Rolex Sub is widely known. I actually wear my IWC (ironically more expensive than many SS Rolex) and no one notices a damn thing. The few times I've worn my BLNR, it was noticed. I prefer to fly under the radar in my line of work - don't need to make my customer notice a nice watch.

Yes.

A bit pointless owning one otherwise.

Work, as in working for somebody for living ?

Naah, don’t dig that. Did if for 20 years, saved up, didn’t commit any financial stupidities and now can enjoy the finer things in life. Can strongly recommend my decision, life is for living.
