Regardless of size, I think the no date model is the way to go with this one as well as the orange. The dial is too great to be broken up by the date.

Question for the group: does anyone know what kind of discount is feasible when purchasing a Lady Serenade from a GO boutique in the EU? The model is priced around EUR 15k. Many thanks.

I'm not in the UK, but my wife loves the Lady Serenade, particularly the diamond bezeled steel and gold.

Without negotiating, my AD said he was sure he could do at least 20% off retail. I have a feeling I could have done better, but the timing wasn't right.

I'm a GO fanboy, but I will say that those ladies models sure depreciate like crazy. I'd say close to 40 percent the moment you walk out the door.

Good luck!

Thanks! Do you think the discounting policy makes any difference when buying from a GO boutique compared to an AD?

Without question! Assuming a GO boutique operates like all the others, a discount is nearly impossible to negotiate. Many have luck with having a few things like straps, travel cases, and swag items thrown in though.

Sorry for the late response, I missed the post somehow. Every circumstance is different and our wives are worth it, so if you have to pay retail, so be it. That said, I would struggle immensely to pay RRP for a PM or partial PM ladies watch. By struggle immensely I mean I wouldn't do it.

I can connect you with a grey dealer who might be able to offer you a substantial discount. They have their own website and C24 account with good references. Send me a DM if you would like to know more.

Very nice...

Basically chrono versions of the three hander salmon and tiff blue right?

I'm liking the "Oysterflex" bracelet option more and more on the 70's integrated models.

Has anyone seen in the wild, or have, the teal green/blue limited edition? Not the matte fume green dial (I actually own that one), but the earlier teal version?

Hi everyone, long time lurker, first time posting

I've been eyeing the SeaQ 39.5 mm diver from GO for a while now. I've been debating between this and a Submariner. I recently tried out the SeaQ at my AD and loved the fit. I was wondering if any owners could chime in on a couple of questions I had:

1) What's the accuracy of the 39-11 caliber like? The reliability? Is it a bulletproof movement?

2) The warranty period is only 2 years for a new watch (compared to 5 for Rolex). Is this a significant issue?

Thank you so much

These are very well-built and high-quality material watches . . . I wouldn't worry about the 2-year warranty.

I have a SeaQ 39.5 (as well as the SeaQ Pano). The 39.5 is not quite as accurate as the Pano at about 4 secs a day which is ok for me. I suspect that if I wore it every day it might get a little more accurate but it is in a rotation.
It is a lovely watch which is extremely comfortable - the bracelet is fantastic and the micro adjustment makes all the difference.
I have had it now for 2 and a half years and I have had no issues at all.
GO is an excellent brand and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Thanks Sherwood Hatter So your 39.5 mm is averaging around 4 sec/day? that's not too bad, within COSC (I know Glasshutte doesn't have COSC certification, but it sounds like it's within that standard). And it sounds like a reliable piece too!

My experience with 4 different GO models - they're all super accurate when you're wearing them daily. If they sit and draw down power reserve 50% or so or more they fall more into the +/- 6-8 seconds range but when you're wearing them and keeping the reserve full they keep excellent time. I always thought my PML was so-so timekeeping which I didn't care about because it's such a fantastic watch but then I took it with me for a 3 day trip and it was like +1 second for the 3 days.

The warranty part of your question is a personal preference one. They're built like tanks and I personally wouldn't worry about the warranty period but anything can happen to any watch at any time.

I've been eyeing the SeaQ 39, also.

I've only seen one report in forums of someone saying the anti reflective coating getting scratched. Has anyone here had this happen?

Also, I understand the new ones have a fully brushed bracelet. Am I correct?

Thanks.

No AR scratching on my SeaQ39.
I also understand that they now have fully brushed bracelets - mine had PCL’s which I like. It has the micro extension which is great.

There is AR on them now. Here is the response I got from GO when I asked.... "
That is correct, there is an anti-reflective coating added to both side of our sapphire crystal to reduce glare and ensure maximum legibility in any condition.

I hope I answered your question, and would be happy to connect you to an Authorized Dealer if you'd like to try this watch in person.

Best regards,

Brand President, North America"

DVR, interesting how you say the AR is very tough. Other Swatch group watches, namely Omega, have owners that report scratches often. GO must do it better!

No issues with GO or Omega watches I’ve owned for several years. Just a thought, Omega sells far more watches than GO so you’re likely to find more instances Omega owners complaining. I don’t think their process is anything less than what GO does to apply AR. Both are excellent IMO.
