It will be my pleasure Mon.
Mon, There are alot of ways to uninstall a program. sometimes, it cant uninstall properly because a file is corrupt. Have you tried going into safe mode and uninstalling? what comes to mind are: 1.) windows installer file is corrupt. 2.) there is a file in the program that cant be read, hence uninstalled. restart the pc and hit F8 until you get the option to boot into safe mode and try the uninstall. if that does not work let me know i will guide you to a manual uninstall.

I have not personally tried the Revo Uninstaller. Im an old fashioned guy I guess and prefer to remove the registry folder and deleting the core files.
But I am curious and want to give these uninstallers a try. Have you tried them and what are the pros and cons. I am not familiar with this software.

I had issues with iTunes where it was very slow especially when connecting my iPhone. I did the manual uninstall, reinstall, registry removal of any references to apple etc to no avai.
I stumbled upon revo uninstaller and it worked like charm. It found references which I didn't expect. The only downside is that it has a 30 day trial. Quote:

I was trying to determine tonight whether my computer had the dreaded DNS rogue server malware and I wanted to get the IP address by going to ipconfig.
In the search box, I typed ipconfig and got a link and clicked. The popup disappeared in less than a second. What gives? What am I doing wrong? I got the IP address from my router, but I'm still curious. I'm running W7.

Hey Brother how are you doing tonight?
you are forgetting a step. in Vista and up on the seach box you should type CMD first which would open the command prompt black box and then you can proceed with your ipconfig /all Alfred

Alfred,
Here's another one for you. Every now and then my screen starts to flicker like a SOB. It doesn't matter if I'm using IE or Chrome. It won't even let me shut down cause when I try Start shutdown it flickers to fast and won't let me choose an option such as restart or shut down. I have to manually shut down, wait a while, turn back on and then it's usually gone. Any ideas? |

Have you tried another monitor? is this an All-in-One PC like the Apple iMac? interesting... is it the screen that is flicking or the small window that comes up when you click on the start button? if that is it you have a malware or a virus my friend. Download Malwarebytes and do a scan in safe mode. Im curious what is going on with this PC.

It's a stationary PC not a laptop. Both the screen and the little box are doing it. |

if you have an extra monitor mon lets try that route just to rule out the monitor as the culprit.

When I shut the comp down and restart it's gone. I have to wait and see if it happens again. Usually it does this once every 2-3 weeks. Thanks for the help so far, much appreciated. |

It just happened again. I shut down and turn back on and it's ok. Ran the malware but it came out clean. I always shut it down for the night. |

This really annoys me cause the comp is totally inoperable when it happens.
It flickers at a 1,000 miles an hour. |

Does it make a difference if I run Malwarebytes in safe mode or not?

Let's see if this helps.
I raised the HZ settings from 60HZ to 75HZ. |

Seems like the HZ setting helped.
I'll make sure to run it in safe mode tomorrow morning. Thanks again Pal. |
