Nice! I didn't realize the 141 is about as wide as a herkybird. I'm sure you've got some fun stories.

Apeogre, Yes, the C-141 cargo compartment height was the same as a C-130 and the width was just a few inches wider. However, the length was much longer with the C-130 at about 40 feet and the C-141 at 93 feet. As for stories, yes there are many, some were scary and life flashing before your eyes type stuff, and many were funny and involved excess in one form or another. It was a fantastic experience. Now, I'm a retired military guy, working a new job, but always ready to start a conversation with the phrase "I remember one time....." :)

Cheers, Tim in Hawaii

It's so funny to hear you say that Tim. I remember when I was a young Officer, a junior pilot in the Squadron, and all the "Old" guys (like...35) were saying: "back in the day.... I remember one time.... Back when I was.... " etc. I swore up and down I would never start conversations like that. Yeah... well... 12 years and 2,500 flight hours later I AM starting conversations like that...

Me circa 1998.

Being from Southeast Louisiana, we have a lot of seaplanes. Growing up, my best friends dad had his own offshore business and we spent a lot of time flying along the Gulf Coast. Needless to say, I loved it!

Nope . . . this is an Citation 560 Excel . . . . not a X . . .

Engines on a X are triple in size . . .

BTW the X is the fastest private jet . . . . capable of doing M .92 or 604 mph . . . ;-)
