My Rolex service guy tells me too long in a hot tub is not good for the crystal gasket seal. When I wear my Sub in the hot tub, I keep my arm above water on the ledge as much as possible.

I never worried wearing SS watch at any occasion. SS scratches are easier to polished.

It just comes down to personal preference. For instance my dad will buy a watch, wear it and never takes it off until it's time for a new one. It's on his wrist 24 hours a day 7 days a week and for the life of the watch regardless of what he's doing. His watch sees everything from garden work, showers, sleep, office, construction and just about everything in between.

My Dad is exactly the same, he even has a few weld spots on his from welding with it on. He wore his last watch (Citizen titanium EcoDrive diver) for 15 years straight before I bought him a new one, he only takes it off to sleep which is a comfort thing. I don't even do that, mine is on all the time but thankfully I don't do as much activity as he does so there is little chance for mine to get wrecked.

In his own words: "I hope I never get as old as you, Son"
I think it's a dig at me being so lazy
