Also, we don’t use to see these posters insisting on their case… Usually, they post once or twice, and go away.
When people make these posts, they're hoping either that:

-They fool us to think it's real which makes them happy about their purchase
-They're part of the replica manufacturing business and are relying on us to point out the errors for them to correct.

There is absolutely no chance that his "gf" can afford a real DeepSea and came home with that piece of junk from an "authorized seller".

I bought the same in China last year as a joke for 30 euros. I've thrown it away since.

The one on the left arm is authentic....

I was more amazed that 3 hours after being told it was a POS he was 'Waiting to speak to his Girlfriend' and posting on here. Had my Mrs just blown 9k on a lead weight within 3 hours I would of spoken to her even if she was on the moon.

It's been dealt with as we speak her secretary bought the watch for her as she was busy... She bought my longines watch from crouch ... And I will go back there or Cardiff as they are the only 2 shops which can sell rolex watches. From rolex.com

So it's either the secretary that's done the dirty or she got conned it's been investigated.

And I will be back to prove the people who are accusing me of trying to pass a fake as a real, as a poster said why would I list the faults all I was doing is trying to find some information as this is my first rolex. For my collection.

Good Lord... How did I miss this thread!?

this just keeps on getting better and better..

or should I say worse and worse.

Hysterical one time all the way through read though! This guy is like my friend's 17 year old son. BS after BS to cover up his BS. Believable at first because you want to give him the benefit of the doubt but then you just don't know whether to cry or laugh.

There are 2 Rolex AD's in Cardiff, Watches of Switzerland in the old St Davids Centre and Crouch a short walk away in the newer St Davids 2 Centre.
I'd place a hefty wager the watch didn't come from any Rolex AD.....

Just a quick question say the watch is 8,000 pounds give or take there is always room for negotiation how much discount do there shops usually offer on a rolex. From crouch or Cardiff stores just so I have a rough idea what there prepared to drop

x2

I was recently in WoS in St Davids 1, the salesman said absolutely no chance of any discount on the SS oyster professional models, the people at Crouch were more polite but no discount as well. There was a BLNR and I took a look at it but it was gone by the end of the week.

You should probably have your legal team start drafting the papers to sue the secretary as well. And the cab company that drove her to the store. Bring everyone into it and let the insurers figure it out. ;)

If my secretary purchased the watch I would certainly be expecting a receipt, can't see why it's taking too long to clear up.
Your watch and packaging is consistent with a £60 Bolex from Gumtree.

The only way this story would hold up, and I would buy it, is if the secretary thought they could get away with passing a fake and pocketed the money. However, it seems as though additional facts keep popping up here which raises the red flag higher and higher.

So, people are so 'busy' to buy their FIRST ROLEX that they send their secretaries/car drivers/staff with 8000 pounds and get it?

Is it a Rolex or weekly grocery?

Things are been dealt with and once i purchase a new one I will be posting it here to prove a few people wrong that's all I can say. As mentioned this was a rushed post I should of worded it a lot better.
So there's no need to keep posting.... Once I've updated with a new buy feel free to come back and check this post and comment. Thanks

OP we are still waiting for an info, where the gf - erm - secretary - the sister-in-law from the secretary - the secretary's sister-in-laws maniqure - etc. bought that watch from.

It should not take days to get that info and post here.

Edit: If it was me, I'd be all over the seller immediately.
If that deal really happened - the seller commited fraud. he'd receive a call and minutes later a personal visit from me. If he would not refund - the nearest police station would be my next destination.

I think he just made things up as he went. Walter Mitty springs to mind. I think its as was said at the top of the thread, he wanted to see if he could pass it as a fake.

You mean people don't always send their secretaries to buy Rolexes for their boyfriends?

It's more common than you think.

The last house I purchased was actually bought by my wife's secretary's personal assistant.

I was too busy armwrestling the Queen at the time.
