I've had a couple of pairs of Maui Jim's. I really loved them all. I've got the "Glass Beach" pair I wear now.

Edit, Old Thread Alert!!!

Before new shades...Maybe a lock box for your Jeep? They make hardened console and under the seat devices.

I mostly wear Persol and love their styling. Also own some Ray Ban's and some others but Persols are my favorite.

I ordered a pair of Rayban New Wayfarer Classic from their online store. They have extra wide versions of some models available which suits my slightly large head size. $150 shipped. I got the tortoise shell with brown lenses. Love 'em to death!

Check out SALT or Barton Perreira for function and fashion. Always love my Oliver Peoples and Persol as well.

Vaurnet. They have some good styles coming out recently.

While Raybans are great and I own a pair, they're now really to common.

Revo (if you can find it in an actual store) and Ray Ban, with blue filtering.

Wife has Maui Jim, which she is happy with.

edit:

I recently got a pair of American Optical pilot sunglasses. I am surprised no one here mentioned them. Made to military specs, not owned by luxotica, highly customizable and comes in different sizes, not very expensive, made in the US and good enough for bringing to the moon... I really like them and you can order directly from the manufacturer.
