Earlier, I said sixteenth notes, but if you think of the second as the "quarter note", then I guess they would be 32nd notes, i.e., 8 notes to the beat (second).
And I guess that's what's meant by 8 beats per second? |

I can hear this as well, It is louder on my two rolex but the clearest is on my Ikepod Hemipode. It rings like a bell!

Interesting. My ear doesn't pick up any of the echo on my 114060... just the light melodic tick.

Not long after I bought my first Rolex, my Explorer, I lay down on my couch and had my arm supporting the pillow upon which my head was resting.
That's the sound I heard and, well frankly, I thought I was losing my mind. I'd never heard a watch sound like that before and I'm from an age when mechanical watches were the only choice. That's the reason I often remove my watch when I go to bed.

What no cow bells :) just put my sub up to my ear and it sounds the same. Love how the sound changes and its that almost chime that comes in and out.

Great thread. Thanks! My Air King emits a higher tone. Maybe the 34mm case resonates differently?

Okay, I've been driving myself crazy hearing this tsk, tsk, tsk every once in a while... searching around my chair trying to find it's source thinking it couldn't be my brand new 116610.
Finally got so loud it was obviously the watch. Up to my ear I hear the hum heard in the OP's video, but I also hear that fast tick sound from >20" away and only a handful of times a day. It's faster than a second by second sound, and it only happens when the face is close to perpendicular to the ground. Is this normal? I've never heard a watch loud enough to catch my attention from that far away, including a 1980s DD, multiple Pateks, Cartier, etc. |

Amazing my friend. Thank you for posting. I hear exactly the same sounds when I put my rolexes to my ear. Agree ...it is a symphony of sounds that may not be apparent at first !
Best regards |
