Sorry to hear! I would absolutely have insurance on a watch like that! Ugh, depressing.

The need to insure everything is getting ridiculous. I know insurance is 'cheap' in the US but not so in other parts of the world. It's pretty high in some areas that after a few years of paying the premiums, you could actually go out and buy a new SS Rolex. |

If it truly is a organized theft ring,It won't be sold to your corner Pawn Shop. They work with high end Fence's that sell directly to Consumers. The person who buys the Watch may have no idea it's stolen until they send it for service.

I was able to get in touch with Hyde restaurant , fortunately they keep their videos for a year. Now I will have to push the detectives to go over the videos. I will have a picture of this b..ch all over the Internet . I will not give up until she's caught. To make things more interesting, I will offer a $5000 reward for anyone who could give me a lead to either get her or the watch. Guys, if you have nothing to do on your spare time, search the pawn shops for me as I'm acting alone on this. Thank you

Plaster her face in an old school WANTED poster with the reward shown. I did this a few years ago and caught my perp. If you can put the poster in a local free paper even better. Look her up on facebook using the name you have. Craigslist the story. The more this gets out in your community the greater the chance you get your watch back. |

It still saddens me to read stuff like this, believing people aren't out to get you. In the end you never know who you are dealing with.

what happens if the police catch the girl (which i really hope that they do) and she claims the chap gave it to her as a gift after they spent the night together....
how is the owner going to prove otherwise? |

Wow! I feel for this guy. Personally, I always want to believe people are inherently good and sometimes I don't keep my guard up enough. Stories like this shock me back to reality that the world can be a cruel place sometimes.
I hope he recovers his watch!! |

Some very interesting articles out there...and it looks like many of the ladies are repeat offenders!
http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/...icle-1.2475733 http://www.sun-sentinel.com/local/br...217-story.html There are a lot of stories like this, actually quite interesting. I think some of these guys are easily fooled into thinking their charm and looks are attracting these ladies... |

4 months ago at the Delano I was wing-man'ing for my pal. The girl with the girl he was with dropped something in my drink with the expectations of taking me back to my hotel and creeping my 116515 once I passed out.
I have a GF, I was wing-man'ing not looking to get some of my own so I bounced. Luckily I have a place close because by the time I got home I was ready to sleep. *woke up 60 minutes later sweating and feeling ill - once the drugs are in your blood stream there is no amount of sticking your finger down your throat that is going to save you. ** if you ever run into a russian girl who says she has a butterfly tattoo where you would most likely expect a total hoochie magoochie to have a butterfly tattoo - cover your drink and run! |

In Far East I saw a documentary that it's actually quite common to drug n rob people of their watches and possessions - plenty of these scammers out there so not surprised the practice has moved across the pond into USA Europe. Some of these are conducted by highly organised gangs with multiple methods - being careful in this day and age is paramount I hope the sky dweller is recovered do you have any pics of it ?

My friend wasn't as lucky. Met a girl at a bar. Yadda yadda yadda 3 months later they were married, and 12 months later they were getting divorced. He still has his Rolex, but she took almost everything else.

Guess I'll stick to watching (as in timepieces) watch porn and live vicariously through this website. I can fulfill all my fantasies and excitement without getting ripped off OR sick. I will however likely still spend and 'lose' a lot of money as a result of all you enablers. Hahahahaahhah |

the watch should have been insured by your friend second he let a stranger in and near the watch that costs so much, its more than a years of salary for most people. if this was some other 3rd world country they would chop your hand off for that watch.
