I knew that was coming...

But it really doesn't matter if it's David or anyone else, If it doesn't sell, the price will be lowered, until it does sell...

Look at the SD4k, it was selling $4000 below MSRP.

Really, you should be thanking him for his speed in acquiring the piece...

Sorry but I disagree, I cannot see this ever being in stock at an AD.

Yes, speed is the price here. These resellers are like car lots, they make the most profit from trade in's. It's a service.and David is one of the best, if not, the best.

What is the grind against David? He is not selling medicine to patients that require it to continue living, it's a Rolex watch. I too, think the price is ridiculously high and would never pay that much for it; so guess what? I won't. Simple as that. BUT, I will submit there is a TRFer or customer of David that WILL, and more power to them. If it's important enough for a Rolex lover to have that watch NOW, and not wait until who knows when it will be available in ADs at retail, that is THEIR money and THEIR choice. I wish them the best. And, if I am wrong and there isn't one that will pay THAT much, the price will be lowered until someone will. Simple.

I don't blame David a bit for trying to get what he can, he's a business man. If he starts selling food at inflated prices to starving people THEN you can tear him down.

Unfortunately, this kind of mark up is what creates a bubble and over inflates the market. He is setting a ridiculously high ceiling.
David seems great on many levels but I don't agree with this, obviously:)

Exactly! David is a businessman and in business. Simply supply and demand. Love the free market

We are all just burning money.

There is not a watch owned here that provides us with an essential function that can't be found on your iPhone.

Just because we have different perceptions of what a lot is doesn't mean that the lot of us aren't nuts for this passion we share.

The only issue I see with being impatient is that if you pay that asking price, once the price and supply normalizes, you lose that extra 7k you paid for it and can never get it back. It's a great watch and it's really growing on me, but patience is key.
