My buddy has a V6 Accord with a manual transmission. It’s a very quick, fun car. I just bought my son a 4 cylinder automatic Accord and it lacks a soul. However, I expect it to be extremely reliable. I bought it to replace his Camry which proved over time to be a good car. However, it, too, lacked any soul. My first company car was a K car. Worst car I ever owned. Flimsy, slow, loud...I could go on but it hurts too much to think about it. |

My wife and I have a 2017 Hyundai Elantra. We've had it for about a year. It's a fine car. It's comfortable, it rides nicely, and gets great mileage.
It's about as exciting as ham and cheese sandwich on white bread.

Speaking of AMC, and just like Joey's wife, for a brief three month period in the 80's I owned a 1972 Gremlin. It was a 6 cylinder 3 speed manual, and when I say it couldn't get out of it's own way I'm not kidding. I'd get passed by bicycles. I had a Ford Mustang 5.0 at the time and they were not driveable in NE winters, you could barely drive the early ones in the rain never mind snow, so I needed to have something for the winter. I bought the gremlin for $300 and that winter was one of the longest ever LOL.
Irony is, to collectors, the Gremlin now is worth almost as much as that 5.0

Mercedes W124 e class estate, but I kinda loved it , so did my kids - sat on the third row of popup seats facing rearwards , no doubt pulling faces at the drivers behind.

I actually looked for a Gremlin on eBay, as I was going to park it in the driveway and give it to her on her 50th birthday as a joke. But all I could find were heaps of rust, or a rare running car, which as you mentioned, sold for way more money than anyone who has ever owned a Gremlin would pay for it.

I had a rental ford focus 5 door hatchback in Europe last summer. That car couldnt go up steep hills in the city unless you were in first gear and would lose speed uphill on the highway in fifth gear. I have never driven something so underpowered in my life.

The Most Boring Car to Drive/Own
I had a Plymouth Reliant. It was my first car in high school. It was one of the "K" cars. Same car as the Dodge Aries.
Anyone else have one? It was SOOOOOOO boring.

2009My S400 Hybrid (gone now) was very boring. Not only was it boring, but there was always a loud knock when starting from a red light or stop sign
My 2009 MKS was also very boring. I'm glad it's gone also |
