Basically the same thing they gave me. It helped and so did the three days worth of meds they gave me. After a week I was able to gradually get out of the chair more and start working my leg but then again mine was just a repair.

I've had a few of those "easy" recoveries. I had 6 prior surgeries to this knee. 3 of them were ACL reconstructions and 3 of them the clean-up after each of those failed surgeries. The clean-ups were always the easiest to bounce back from.
I feared the pain I feel now, because that's what I expected. At least it's not a surprise! Today's a bit better

Wow, nothing like a doctor having to come clean up after the first go round.

Wishing you a speedy recovery Vanessa. My mother-in-law had knee replacement surgery earlier this week.. was a good 6-8 weeks w/PT before things started getting back to normal.

I don’t envy you one bit. Man, I sure hope this finally fixes this for you. I’ve heard knee replacements can take awhile to bounce back from. So what are you currently looking at before your fairly mobile and when are you looking at being fully mobile?

4 weeks minimum to get around, a year to full recovery.

Whoa, yeah I had heard full recovery was quite lengthy, but here again hopefully this puts an end to all those issues you’ve had.

It would look bad if it was oozing yellow stuff or look infected. It's healing nicely without complications

Just keep at it, the progress will be faster than you think. My mother is 78 and had her's replaced earlier this year. She was walking with a walker the same day and was off crutches using a cane by week 3 or 4, I can't recall exactly. She is very thankful she did it and wished she did it years ago. She has no issues and it is working great. It'll all work out for you.

Thanks, I know I keep hearing this, but believe it or not, I don't have much patience! Lol. For watches, yes, but not for sitting still, hurting and waiting for things to get better! I'm sure I'll be fine 2-3 weeks from now! Thanks for the encouragement

Hey Vanessa, I'm pretty late to this thread. I am so happy that you went ahead with the surgery.

Mine was a Band-Aid and a couple of ibuprofen compared to what you've had done but mine is as good as new now and I'm quite a few years older than you. Couple of weeks back, I squatted 280lbs and my knee could've taken a lot more (just a shame my back couldn't ).

You got this, girl. Stay focussed and be positive. Get some whey protein, BCAA's and dark chocolate (minimum 70% cocoa) down you on a regular basis. They will speed the recovery process, trust me on that one.

Get well soon

Thanks! Hadn't heard about the chocolate part, but I can get on board with that
