You know, I'm probably the wrong guy to ask. I'm just no good with choices.

EDIT: Just saw you picked up the DD. A most excellent choice...congrats!

Oh that’s a sweet combo. Best of both worlds! I may have to upgrade my SS Daytona.

The Day Date. Less dials. Less buttons. And no rubber strap.

Maybe I'm just a tad biased?

Day Date all day...
The Daytona can’t hold a flame to that.
I will only buy one more Rolex since I already have my Daytona.
The next piece will be a Yellow Gold Day Date...

Comparing them is like apples and bowling balls.

I already have a few SS pieces including a 116500 white dial.

Which one would you choose and why? I’m hoping to get some feedback on the wearability/comfort, durability and better value retention wouldn’t hurt. Thanks!

Either way you won’t go wrong.
If I were you I will buy the first one that appears at a Good price. And then hunt for another great price in the other one.
Both watches are amazing and a must have,
Blessings,
Mike

On its own, I would pick the Daytona.
The oysterflex is super comfortable and the watch is more versatile: if you dress up, it would look dressy, if you're casual, it just looks real cool.
However, you already have a 116500. so in your case I would pick the DD. Beautiful watch and nice addition to your collection.
