Got mine a few weeks back from AD at MSRP. I waited about two years, but if I didn’t have a good AD relationship, I certainly would’ve considered paying market prices for this reference. These meteorites are not too common, and as a Rolex collector, this one was a must have for me.

I like the petrol blue color and the rubber is comfortable.

I'm the type of guy who is always changing things around. I have about 60 straps in pretty much every color and I like to swap straps every few weeks to get a new look. It was born out of having a one-and-done collection for 12 years (IWC Mark XVI) so I was always trying to get creative with that watch.

So my question is, does anybody know of anybody that has actually paid that much?

i’ve seen a lot of the wild asking prices recently.

it’s very, very good. i dunno if it’s worth those prices, though.

Well, it appears that the secondary prices look to have increased on the order of about 40 or 50 thousand dollars since I tried one of these on a few months ago.

If I become a famous basketball player or a swimsuit model or a tick tock influencer or something, maybe Rolex will give me one of these?

This is the only piece in my collection I went grey. Paid USD51k about 2 years ago. Love it dearly.

In Singapore, they trade briskly around USD 85-90k now.Name: 20220107_191323~2.jpg

My favourite Rolex in the collection. I was initially worried about not getting it from AD but actually got one in 2019 and then another AD called 2020 (obviously only bought one).

This model was released at the 50th anniversary of moon landing and wouldn't surprise me if discontinued soon, maybe that's why prices go up. Should calm down after April if it stays in the catalogue.

Edit: My avatar is a screenshot from the teaser video of this watch.

For as much hype as this watch gets, I still feel it’s criminally underrated

Completely agree. The meteorite daytona market shows how undervalued this is. I see this being a $250k watch at some point. But I’m not selling.

I can respect your decision and feel much the same way.

I was in Naval Aviation when I purchased my GMT Master II back in the early 90s. A little over a decade ago I worked at NASA Langley Research Center. A new GMT Master II with the meteorite dial would be especially memorable.

There are many things in life that are far more important when compared to money. It's unfortunate that few realize this until they struggle to inhale their very last breath.

By far my favorite watch in my collection; it definitely gets the most wrist time, and rightfully so. The way the dial gleams depending on how the light hits it is just

I really love how the Gibeon Meteorite is unobstructed on this gorgeous timepiece. One of my absolute favorites by far.

The cheapest 126719 meteorite now on Chrono24 is $100,000 with a range from 100k to 175k. This is first time that has happened for this reference. I suspect the price keeps inching up because there is a suspicion of it being discontinued in March. It will be interesting to see where the price retreats to when it does not. Watching this continual build up of price is really strange to see.

This does seem like it will really take off, discontinued or not, whispers from my grey market dealer friend who keeps trying to buy mine.

Logic for it to follow Daytona Meteorite.Name: Screenshot_20220213-113829_Chrono24.jpg

I’m waiting to see when David SW lists one. That will give us a better idea of the current market value. I’m guessing around 85-90k.

Congratulations! This is such a rarity. Two of my ADs have never received one. This is the only watch I've ever paid gray for, but sure wouldn't pay today's gray rates. It appears that I could make at least $45K immediately. Craziness.

What a great sentiment, thanks for sharing. I hope you get this one day to celebrate your own story.
