Awesome move. I love the brand as well. Which one did you go with if I may ask? I’ve been eyeing the Origin White dial… though I understand they will be coming out with a new one (dial) at w&w this year so I’m waiting to see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I stopped by the LF AD Fourtane in Carmel while I was in the Bay Area over the holidays to try on the Galet Champagne as well as the Galet retro white dial. Unbelievable! One of the coolest uncomplicated dress watches I’ve ever seen/worn. And I’m not a even a dress watch kind of guy… if you couldn’t tell. Congrats on a great soon to be pick up. My logic is simple on this Genève strip removal. Since it actually is rather inexpensive, why remove it knowing that it will be the first thing to strike majority of customers by its presence or lack thereof. The logical assumption (of course all these is assumptions as I or you don't work for LF HQ) is that the mindset is to cut cost. Back to the part 2 of our discussion - movement. The easiest way to illustrate how overpriced this sports LF without any complication is by this Armin Strom watch I have been contemplating but have not pulled the trigger yet. It is at CHF 54K Armin Strom Mirrored Force resonance. If I remember correctly, there are only three watchmakers in the world that make resonance movement. Armin Strom, Haldimann and of course FP Journe. To be able to make resonance movement is considered a milestone in showing its prowess in watchmaking. Resonance is not torbillon where we can have Chinese made torbillon knock off as well. As you may know, Armin Strom is a very revered brand. Of course there are many more expensive resonance AS offers. There is no complication for this LF sports auto. The materials used is stainless steel. The dial is nothing special. The finish is already a dead horse to beat by me and others. I just want to finish my last argument with the innovation and robustness of movement that can be obtained with 50k+. Anyhoo, no one can judge how much a dollar is worth except by the one who makes it. This watch I am sure is worth 50k to those who have ordered it. I am not putting down those by having ordered it. We buy what we like, as simple as that. I am simply stating my opinion of its value, again the relative value that is. This watch in my mind is really another 30k watch before inflation. My 2 cents. Someone above just had real life experience with it, and was disappointed with its quality. I think it to be noted. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk |

François has the Sport Auto on his wrist here and it looks amazing. Posting since there’s very few third-person perspectives from far out re: the Sport Auto… Love it! |

I find it hilarious that this guy is above LF on the totem pole when LF is the company namesake.

Have mine on order for a 2023 delivery - one to forget about and be surprised when it arrives.

I love it even more after these distance shots. I really see the benefits of the case shape now - and it looks more proportionate from farther away imo (and the case is properly reminiscent of the Grand Sport in dimensions).

Most IG photos seem to be taken with phone cameras, which often switch to wide angle mode for close ups. Wide angle makes the watch head look bigger than it is. Unfortunately, it looks like a few of the press photos were taken the same way . These pictures make the bracelet look very thin relative to the watch case, which I don’t think is true.

Thanks for the photos. From those shots, the bracelet seems to taper well and proportionally. It also looks like the bracelet drapes well from the case and onto the wrist. With the lugs coming off of the midcase, rather than being tapered to be in line with the bottom of the caseback, how did you find the watch to feel on wrist? My Galet wears very comfortably, but I wonder if the Sport Auto might feel top heavy (if that's even possible with Titanium).

Unfortunately, they are unpopular, cheaply made, mass produced, and overrated. They will lose a ton of value. Lucky for you I am a really nice guy and will take your allocation off of your hands for a minimal loss. Feel free to PM me if you want to let it go.

Your first post on TRF is to say you have one of the quickest possible delivery’s on a allocations of one of the most popular 2022 W&W release and then ask for opinions on wether you should keep the allocation or not. You are either really stupid and lucky or a troll. |
